Phytosanitary research collaboration and video contest in the International Year of Plant Health
Euphresco, the transnational network for phytosanitary research coordination and funding, has started a new cycle of discussions for project ideas. Euphresco projects start as ideas, based on national priorities and proposed by Euphresco partners. Through discussions, exchange and networking, the suggestions can become projects. The proposed research topics in 2019 have led to 14 projects that will start soon, with collaborations between organisations in thirty-five countries worldwide. A list of 2020 suggestions for transnational research topics, submitted by a number of Euphresco partners, is available at their website. Expressions of interest can be sent to the coordinator.
In addition, in frame of the International Year of Plant Health, Euphresco and the International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies of Bari are pleased to launch a call for a video competition ‘Plant Health TV: Research that helps Plant Health’. The competition aims to give visibility to national and international research activities on plant health and to the people and organizations that carry them. Interested scientists are invited to submit a short video (less than three minutes) related to research that is conducted on plant health. Applicants must submit the required material by the 1st of July.
More information on the recently started 14 research projects, the list of 2020 topics and how to participate in the video contest is available on the Euphresco website.
